DOF Subsea Norway AS Completes First Survey with New Focus 2 ROTV

DOF Subsea Norway AS completed its first survey with the newly purchased Focus 2 ROTV system.
The pipeline survey covered more than 1,000 km and 60 pipelines in the Danish
sector of the North Sea. The project, originally anticipated to take about a
month’s time, was executed ahead of schedule utilising DOF Subsea’s vessel, Geosund.
DOF Subsea Norway’s new Focus 2 ROTV was outfitted with a HAIN inertial system,
DVL, CTD sensor and Edgetech 300/600 kHz SSS to complete nearly three-fourths
of the survey. The remaining area, in close proximity to
subsea structures, was
surveyed using a Schilling UHD WROV.

The new Focus 2 ROTV proved to be highly successful during the operation. Its
HAIN inertial system was interfaced to the auto functions of the ROTV, which ensured
smooth and reliable control of the vehicle. DOF Subsea Norway is offering the
ROTV for rental to the market along with a minimum of 2 operators to follow the
system.
